1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Invisible Pain Foundation website at invisiblepain.org (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site. These Terms apply to all visitors regardless of whether you have registered or made a donation.
2. About Our Service
Invisible Pain Foundation is a nonprofit organization (with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status pending before the IRS) dedicated to raising awareness, providing education, and supporting families affected by childhood chronic pain and invisible illnesses. The Site provides informational resources, a petition, community story submissions, volunteer opportunities, a curated directory of medical professionals, and the ability to make donations.
3. No Medical Advice
The content on this Site is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have about a medical condition. Please review our Medical Disclaimer for full details.
4. User Submissions
When you submit content to the Site — including stories, petition signatures, volunteer applications, doctor recommendations, or feedback — you represent and warrant that:
- The information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
- You have the right to share the content and it does not violate any third party's privacy or intellectual property rights.
- Your submission does not contain defamatory, harmful, abusive, or unlawful content.
- If sharing a story about a minor, you have the consent of the child's parent or legal guardian.
We reserve the right to review, edit, decline, or remove any submission at our sole discretion. Submissions are not automatically published and may be moderated before appearing on the Site.
5. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Site to:
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
